Maple Sugar Festival
48th Annual Maple Sugar Festival

Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17

9 am – 5 pm at the Interpretive Center 

11 am – 5 pm at the DeLano Homestead

Fun activities and sweet maple treats await you at KNC’s 48th annual Maple Sugar Festival and fundraiser!  Then check out all the fun activities at the Interpretive Center and the DeLano Homestead as we welcome in the first signs of spring.

Maple Sugar Festival

Interpretive Center, 9 am - 5 pm


9 am-2 pm*  Pancake Breakfast
9 am-5 pm   Maple Carnival
9:30 am-4 pm  Maple Sugar Tours (tours depart from sundial)
10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3:30 pm  LIVE Bird of Prey Presentations
12 pm and 2:30 pm   Springtime Variety Show (1/2 hour program)
2-5 pm*  Ice Cream and Maple Syrup

DeLano Homestead, 11 am - 5 pm

Pioneer Sugaring Demonstrations
Horse-drawn Wagon Rides ($1/person, weather permitting)
Blacksmithing Demonstrations
Spinning and Weaving Demonstrations
Kids’ Activities

2-5 pm  Ice Cream with Maple Syrup*

 

DeLano CSA Market Barn

11 am-5 pm

Kids’ Activities
Tractor Viewing
Visit with Farm staff and learn about the DeLano Farms CSA

1 pm  What in the World are you Eating?

2:30 pm  LIVE Bird of Prey Presentation

*Additional fees: Pancake Breakfast is $6/adult, $5/senior, $4/child (4 – 13 yrs), children 3 years and under are free.  Ice cream with maple syrup is $3/serving.  Maple cotton candy is $2/bag.

Admission: Members free, Non-members $7/adult, $6/senior, $4/child (4 – 17 yrs), children 3 years and under are free.

Join Lee’s Hiking Spree TODAY!

Don’t forget to sign up for our Hiking Spree program!  It is only $10 to join and $5 to renew your membership.  All new memberships include a hiking staff!  Hike five of KNC’s 14 trails in 2013 and receive a special 2012 medallion.  In March, go on a Maple Sugar Tour and earn a special maple leaf medallion, too!  Special medallions are offered throughout the year to add to your KNC hiking staff.
