"I certainly miss the summer
and spending time at the
Nature Center!"

A Day in the Life A Day in the Life Minimize

Camp Staff are asked to arrive at the Adventure House between 8:15 and 8:30 am to get their program materials ready for each day. Campers arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 am and are dropped off by the bus or their parents. Staff who are on bus duty for that week will arrive at 9:00 am with the campers.

Once all campers have arrived, we begin our Morning Flagpole Ceremony with daily announcements, songs, and activities. From 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, you and your co-educator will lead your group in activities that you planned and organized that are relevant to the week’s theme. Staff eat lunch with their camp group on the grounds.  On Wednesday afternoons, all groups eat lunch at the Adventure House and depart for Marking Glen Swim Day at 12:30 pm.

Each day at 3:30 pm, all groups meet at the Adventure House for group games and activities. The Afternoon Flag Pole Ceremony and the Junk Report usually happen around 4:30. Campers leave on the bus or are picked up at 5:00 pm.

Once the grounds are ready for the next day’s activities, you are free to leave. If you have an overnight campout, you will begin the evening’s activities.
