Wildlife Neighbors
When your family moved into your house, which wildlife was already calling the neighborhood home? You may never see them…maybe they are too foxy. They might have secret tunnels or even live in your dark attic. We will track down the signs left behind to prove that you are not alone. Be a good neighbor and meet the family next door—They’re wild!

Amphibian Adventures
Take part in an adventure into a world of slime. What type of animals can live so happily in both water and on land? Amphibians, of course! Search out all the places they live and discover all the tricks they use to survive in the wild.

Rockin’ Reptiles
Some reptiles are found by the pond or in the forest. Some reptiles we know only from the fossils they left in rock. This week we will explore places and time. Journey from the Jurassic to the present as we discover why reptiles are Gneiss…OOPS nice!

Animals of the Past
A long time ago in a place not so far away lived amazing animals we don’t see today. Dinosaurs, saber-toothed tigers, and mammoths galore were here once, but are no more. Travel in time, see things from the past, there are many animals—some didn’t last.

Amazing Animals
The Olympic games have a saying: “Swifter, Higher, Stronger.” If animals were allowed to compete in the Olympics, humans wouldn’t even win the bronze medal. This week is all about the amazing adaptations that animals display every day, so they don’t become another animal’s meal. Join in the fun and games as we discover the truly amazing award winners.

Exploratopia
Focus your eyes on the small and big things. Some have huge ears and some have red wings. We’ll tell you a story and sing you a song. You might draw a great picture—there’s no right or wrong. Explore the big world, look far and look near. Play games and have fun you’ll remember all year. If Exploratopia sounds right for you, talk to your parents and try something new!

Creepy Crawly Critters
The world is full of small things that some people think are gross—But never fear: Bugs are our friends. These tiny critters are near us all of the time. So if you love our creepy crawly neighbors, sign up today! Explore forest, pond, and stream because this camp is an arthropod lover’s dream.

Water Beasts
Summer can be scorching hot, sometimes so hot you might wish that you were a fish. People start looking like prunes when we spend too much time in water, but in nature there are animals that live their whole life in ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams. Dive into the world of water beasts. This camp is too hot to stay dry.

Feathered Friends
Soaring, hovering, diving, and gliding—birds can do it. The Nature Center is home to about
100 species of birds every summer! Learn to identify birds, see bird banding, visit with birds of prey, and take a hike or two in the prairie to find out what birds need to be happy and healthy.

Cold-Blooded Creatures
Take your temperature… It says 98.6°F. You’re not sick, but you are crazy about reptiles and amphibians. You won’t have to stay home today, because you are going outside to explore the world of reptiles and amphibians in the places they live. The only doctor you might need is a herpetologist.
