Adventure Camps run 9am–5pm, Monday through Friday
Artistic by Nature + Meet Local Artists Creative people need creative ways to explore the world. This week at camp is the perfect chance for you to see the Nature Center in a different way. Have a great time using music, improv, painting, sculpture, digital photography, and more to express your appreciation for nature. We supply all of the equipment you will need. The Life Aquatic + Fishing and Canoe Trips Beat the heat with this cool camp and join us out on the water. Enjoy catch-and-release fishing, meet an expert angler, and learn to tie your own flies. Paddle and fish the Kalamazoo River on an awesome canoe trip. Visit Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery and see where many of the fish that you catch in Michigan are born. Study underwater life and what it takes to keep it safe on the D.J. Angus research vessel in Grand Haven. Have fun in the sun and live the Life Aquatic with KNC! Canoe, Camp, and Climb + One Overnight Have a blast with the three C’s of summer… CANOE on a wild ride down the Kalamazoo River and CAMP one night at KNC along the way. CLIMB to test your mountaineering skills at Climb Kalamazoo. Learn outdoor and survival skills with gear ranging from primitive to modern, practice paddling and teamwork, and have fun outside! River Trek & Backpack Adventure + Four Overnights and Canoeing Are you ready for the ultimate camp experience? Camp 4 nights and 5 days and explore more of the 1100 acre KNC property than any other camp could even dream of. Test your paddling skills for 2 days on the Kalamazoo River. Meet other adventurous teens as you make memories and learn outdoor skills that will last a lifetime! JULY 21–25, CODE: RTA5 AUGUST 4–8, CODE: RTA7 $400 MEMBER, $425 NON-MEMBER
NO refunds or cancellations within two weeks (10 business days) of the camp’s start date. A $50 processing fee will be charged for any cancellation prior to two weeks before a camp’s start date. If you are cancelling a 3-year-old camp such as “My First Nature Camp” prior to two weeks before the camp’s start date, a $10 processing fee for each day cancelled will be charged. There is no fee for switching to another available camp of the same price in the current camp season. If prices differ, you will need to pay the difference or we will refund or credit you the difference.
