Let Us Help You Earn Badges at the Kalamazoo Nature Center.

Our knowledgeable staff and the many unique resources at the Kalamazoo Nature Center combine to make earning a badge fun and educational. You may join us during one of our special badge days or schedule your own program. 

Special Badge Days for the 2010-2011 season
 
Saturday, November 13, 2010
The following badge programs are being offered.
• Wolf scouts: Your Living World (not 7d) and Arrow Electives 13d, 14d, and 18g.
• Bear scouts: Sharing Your World with Wildlife and Elective 12b
• Webelos: Geologist Activity Badge & belt loop and/or Naturalist Activity Badge & Wildlife Conservation belt loop.

Saturday, January 29, 2011
The following badge programs are being offered.
• Tiger scouts: Let's Go Outside and Elective 35
• Wolf scouts: Your Living World (not 7d) and Arrow Electives 13d, 14d, and 18g.
• Bear scouts: Sharing Your World with Wildlife and Elective 12b
• Webelos: Forester Activity Badge
 

Program length: Programs last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Start times: 10:00am or 1:00pm. Please Note: Some Webelo Badges have required posters, drawings or charts which scouts will complete at home.

Badge Day Saturdays Fees:
• $5.00/scout with no minimum den size
• Leaders are free
• Additional adults are $3.50 each
• Because this program is for scouts & leaders, there may not be room for additional adults and they may be asked to be self guided during the program.
• A scout who is the only one from his den must be chaperoned and this chaperone will act as a leader and be admitted free of charge.
• Siblings pay $3.50 and are self guided with an adult.

Your program fee includes KNC admission for the day. Visit the exhibits and go for a hike!

 

To register for Special Badge Day Saturdays, call (269) 381-1574 Ext. 0. Registration and payment for scouts is due by Friday, November 5, 2010 for November Program. Registration for Winter programs will begin in November.

Cancellation Policy:
Full refund of $25 or more if cancelled prior to October 29, 2010 for fall program or prior to January 14, 2011 for Winter program. No refunds after October 29, 2010 or January 14, 2011.
