Outdoor Explorations for Homeschoolers!


During the 2010-2011 school year, the Kalamazoo Nature Center will offer a series of environmental education programs developed especially for homeschoolers ages 4 to 12. Program sessions are offered once a month on Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. Weather permitting, a portion of all programs are held outdoors at KNC. Note that some programs are at the DeLano Homestead, located at 555 W. E Avenue.

 

Winter Closings:

Home School Programs will be cancelled if Plainwell Public Schools are cancelled. If programs are cancelled due to weather, they will be rescheduled for the following week. School Closings at WWMT.com

• Programs begin PROMPTLY at 1 p.m. and last 1.5 – 2 hours, depending on child’s age.
• A portion of most programs will be held outdoors, so please dress appropriately.
• Handouts will be available as appropriate.
• Non-participating family members are welcome to remain at the Interpretive Center at no additional cost.
• You must pre-register — no walk-ins, please!
