 Current Positions Available at the Kalamazoo Nature Center

Farm Education Coordinator
Summary of Position:
  The Farm Education Coordinator is responsible for: all farm-based educational programming at the Kalamazoo Nature Center.  This includes: working closely with the education directors to integrate farm-based education into existing programming; working with the Farm Manager to develop all CSA member materials and education; organizing special events around the farm; developing hands-on educational exhibits related to DeLano Farms; maintaining supplies for programming; assisting in the development of the annual operation budget for programming; and assisting with all small scale animal husbandry.  This person may also train, supervise, and schedule temporary paid and unpaid staff.  For more information and application instructions, view the job description here.

Preschool Teacher

Summary of Position: The Preschool Teacher position is a part time 9.5 month position with responsibilities including but not limited to planning, preparing and leading classroom activities at Nature’s Way Preschool (NWP). This position will assist in maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom within the philosophical guidelines of Nature's Way Preschool and the Creative Curriculum® model, in order to develop students' relationship with the natural world. DeLano Farms CSA Crew
Summary of Position:  DeLano Farms is entering its third season of production at the Kalamazoo Nature Center, with a goal of feeding 300 CSA member families in 2013. Crew Farmers will work as a team under the leadership of the Farm Manager to run the day-to-day operations of DeLano Farms and its CSA, performing all tasks involved in vegetable production and CSA management.
