Kalamazoo River Valley Trail (KRVT)

The Kalamazoo River Valley Trail opened in 2008 as Kalamazoo County’s newest county park. When complete the trail will encompass 35 miles of non-motorized, paved surface from Battle Creek through Kalamazoo County. The Kalamazoo River Valley Trail is free to all users, providing everyone with great recreational opportunities, alternative transportation and access to invigorating green space.

The Hiking Spree is a great way to get out on the trails and see our ever changing views from season to season. It's easy to join.  Purchase a KNC Hiking Stick with a KNC logo medallion to start your membership, and hike 5 KNC trails within one year of joining. Report your Hikes to the Host at the Guest Services Desk to earn that year's medallion.

The Kalamazoo Nature Center is proud to be a partner with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.
Please help us preserve the natural beauty of the Nature Center by observing the following:
- For your safety, please check in with Guest Services in the lobby of the Interpretive Center before heading out on the trail. 
-Please stay on marked trails 
-Leave rocks, plants, and other natural objects were you find them. 
-Please leave your pets at home. 
-Bike on paved surfaces only.
 -Respect wildlife, do not try to approach or capture. 
-Dispose of waste in garbage and recycle bins.
