Whether you plan to visit for an hour or the day there is a trail waiting for you to explore. A visit to the Kalamazoo Nature Center offers 14 trails covering over 10 miles of varied habitats from ponds to prairies, fens and forest, and all things in between.

Outdoor Ethics at KNC!

The Kalamazoo Nature Center is proud to be a partner with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Please help us preserve the natural beauty of the Nature Center by observing the following.

- For your safety, please check in with Guest Services in the lobby of the Interpretive Center before heading out on the trail.

-Please stay on marked trails

-Leave rocks, plants, and other natural objects were you find them.

-Please leave your pets at home.

-Bike on paved surfaces only.

-Respect wildlife, do not try to approach or capture.

-Dispose of waste in garbage and recycle bins.
