As a new season of research gets underway, we are excited to invite your support of the Kalamazoo Valley Bird Observatory through the Southwest Michigan Team Birdathon. This 28th annual event will again include the KVBO’s own “Catbirders” team (John Brenneman, Brenda Keith, and Richard Keith) in a day-long trip to Berrien County on Saturday, May 14. During the 2016 Birdathon, the “Catbirders” anticipate identifying over 130 bird species. You can support KNC and the KVBO’s 2016 research season simultaneously by pledging to the team’s Birdathon efforts.
This year’s Birdathon fundraising goal is $15,000. Your gift, whether large or small, helps us meet this goal. You may make a flat donation of a set amount or you may make a per-species pledge. For example, a pledge of $2 per species, when multiplied 130 birds, would equal at $260 donation to support the KVBO. Either way you give, your contribution is greatly appreciated! Each donation supports the supplies, equipment, facilities, and staff that are critical to building on the KVBO’s 40+ year history.
Thank you for your interest in and support of KNC’s Kalamazoo Valley Bird Observatory. We look forward to sharing the Birdathon 2016 results with you next month.
